An Evening with Rebecca Beattie: The Season of Frost and Fire

  • Field System 13 West Street Ashburton, Newton Abbot United Kingdom (map)

We are absolutely delighted to welcome green witch, Wiccan priestess, and author Rebecca Beattie to Field System for an intimate event exploring her latest book, The Season of Frost and Fire: A Witch’s Winter in 13 Rituals.

Having stocked Rebecca’s earlier titles—The Wheel of the Year (2022) and The Way Through the Woods (2024)—we are thrilled to host her here in Ashburton to share her wisdom on reconnecting with nature during the dark half of the year.

About the Book

Winter is often seen as a season for retreat—a time to draw our seats up close to the hearth and wait for spring. But what if the cold months hold their own magic?

In The Season of Frost and Fire, Rebecca Beattie shares thirteen luminous rituals to guide us through the darkest days—from fire rituals that welcome in the winter and banish fears on stormy nights to comforting ceremonies that honour our desire for inspiration and transformation.

Discover the tarot cards that will light our path from the first frost to the thaw of early spring. Meet the forgotten goddesses who will become our companions and guides in the shadows. Hear bewitching tales of shapeshifting beings and thin veils between mist-covered worlds. Even in winter’s quiet, Beattie reveals the warmth, wisdom, and renewal alive beneath the surface of things.

Including practical spell crafting, storytelling, and journaling prompts, this book will help you connect to the elements and find healing, inspiration, and hope in nature.

"A warming, reflective and beautifully written book of seasonal magic."

Marion Gibson, author of Witchcraft: A History in Thirteen Trials
