Join us for the launch of what is probably the first illustrated guide to Dartmoor in 100 years (and the definitely the coolest) - Rock Idols: A Guide to Dartmoor in 28 Tors.

Written by Ashburton authors Alex Murdin & Sophie Pierce, with original drawings by Alex, it delves into the secret life of the tors (rocky outcrops) - telling the epic story of their making over millions of years, and exploring the myth and folklore they have created in the minds of the moorfolk. Alex and Sophie also meet many of the tors’ megalithic sons and daughters – Dartmoor’s famous stone circles & rows - and hear something from those people that still speak with stones today.

So come celebrate with us at an exclusive advance preview of the book at Field System before the official publication date on April 1st.
