An exhibition examining farming folklore & agricultural plant histories.
GROWING SEASON is a show of past ephemeral works captured with photography as well as a live floral installation by Emma Thistlethwaite of Thistle by Nature, it is her debut solo exhibition.
The show explores land based folklore centering around farming practice & customs & flower arranging as a means to tell stories.
Emma will be celebrating the opening with us in the gallery from 4-7pm on Saturday 19th July. We will have seasonal folk music from our house band, Moor Folk, and we will be serving complimentary hedgerow cocktails.
She will also be running bookable and drop in workshops on Sunday 20th July where you can work alongside her to create seasonal, sustainable displays and charms in preparation for Lammas. The workshops are for everyone; from those who are giving arranging their first attempt, to experienced floral artists looking to try a new approach. Come and create with nature and take home a wonderful arrangement or charm, all materials included and sustainable!
