Skate Rituals & Reclamation – Hands-on skate workshops and a talk on the communal and mythical side of skate culture (known a LedgeLore) with Dr. Kirsty Smith. Friday 31st July, workshop at Port Royal at 6.30pm and talk at the Dissenters Hall at 7.30pm.
Behind KIT II – Guided curator walks and talks through the exhibition with Milly and Mark from Field System. Saturday 1st August and Friday 7th August at 10.00am at the Dissenters Hall.
A Folk Moot: Revivals – Open discussion on why we keep coming back to folk traditions, led by Mike Hankin (The Folk Union). Saturday 1st August at 5.00pm at the Dissenters Hall.
Rowan Gatherer - Solo singing and hurdy gurdy. Saturday 1st August at 8.00pm at the Dissenters Hall.
The Merrie Mummers from the Folk Preservation Society will mummer their merrie way aroiund Sidmouth departing at 10.00am and returning at 4.30pm to the the Dissenters Hall. For details see The Folk Preservation Society.
Wessex Hag - ‘Folk Memorials’ with our favourite Hag! Rosie will be telling stories of the folk rituals of roadside memorials, based in Somerset culture and landscape.
A Teatime Spectacle – The famous Teatime Pageant performed by the Museum of Roadside Magic's own coven of Roadwytches, including Libby Bove. Sunday 2nd August at at 5.00pm the Dissenters Hall.
Bringing Communities Together through ritual with Amerie Rose from The Folk Preservation Society. Once upon a time communities gathered together to celebrate the turning of the year. This talk is about those celebrations. Come and hear how The Folk Preservation Society is reaching a diverse range of people, enabling them to walk through a new door and back to the old ways. Tuesday 4th August 12.00pm - 1.30pm at the Dissenters Hall.
Tales, Ballads & Broadsides – An open singaround with Elsbeth Anne, Jennifer Reid, and Wessex Hag (Rosie May). Friday 7th August at 12.00pm- 1.30pm at the Dissenters Hall.
