Language, Consciousness, Magick, Romance by Thomas Sharp

£25.00

484 pages containing six years of collected works plus eight introductory mini-biographical and philosophical essays offering an insight to the poetry. This beautifully produced book, with a black cloth and white foil cover, is signed by the author.

Poems contained within the volume are The Weeping Cufflinks, myu, Jack and Jill, Twenty-five sculptures in five dimensions, The Supreme Point, Game Six, Naomi's Poem, extracts of Very Special Knowledge, Changeling and The Idyllegy. The book also contains 86 individual poems including commercial work 'There is a word' and 'The Running Towards', published for the first time.

Thomas Sharp self-publishes his work, releasing limited-edition, beautifully crafted book projects every few months and gifting them to his audience in the Blakean tradition. He creates free, one-night-only Happenings. These have included a conceptual sculpture installation in Covent Garden and a metaModernism chess and video experience in Park Village Studios in Camden. Every four years he and a group of conspirators plant a perfect circle of handmade bronze mushrooms around London’s Square Mile, the world’s largest faery ring. He has been commissioned by the British Library, Global Witness, St Martin-in-the-Fields, London Fire Brigade, English National Ballet and Historic Royal Palaces. This year he is the first ever official poet for Turner’s House in Richmond.
