Twenty Five Sculptures in Five Dimensions by Thomas Sharp

£50.00

Twenty Five Sculptures in Five Dimensions is a box containing 25 sculptures, or at least 25 carefully considered prompt cards for you to use to sculpt 25 sculptures using your own imaginationation. Signed and numbered by the author and limited to an edition of 10 boxes, these are skillfully written and beautifully presented.

“Each sculpture is made from the four dimensions of thirty syllables – a five syllable title and five further lines of five syllables each – combined with the fifth dimension of your imagination. The sculptures do not exist without your consciousness and these sculptures are about your consciousness. How language shapes it. How distinct it is from the blood and mess of your body.” Thomas Sharp.

Thomas Sharp self-publishes his work, releasing limited-edition, beautifully crafted book projects every few months and gifting them to his audience in the Blakean tradition. He creates free, one-night-only Happenings. These have included a conceptual sculpture installation in Covent Garden and a metaModernism chess and video experience in Park Village Studios in Camden. Every four years he and a group of conspirators plant a perfect circle of handmade bronze mushrooms around London’s Square Mile, the world’s largest faery ring. He has been commissioned by the British Library, Global Witness, St Martin-in-the-Fields, London Fire Brigade, English National Ballet and Historic Royal Palaces. This year he is the first ever official poet for Turner’s House in Richmond.
